I’ve always been a teacher at heart. It’s what I pretended to be as a child in Kansas City. I taught Bible School as a teen in Denver. I was always excited to be in a classroom of children while earning my elementary/early childhood degree at New Mexico State University. I’ve taught preschool up through third grade for over 13 years. When I left the classroom, I became a vision therapist, working mostly with children. Then I became a SAHM when my husband, John, and I adopted our daughter. That was an amazing experience, and I loved being home with her full time. I also found I wanted something just for me. I’ve been a Discovery Toys Consultant for over three years. While it’s been fun, sharing educational toys and games, my teaching heart has been calling.
It’s amazing to watch children learn. You can see it on their faces. To play a role in that learning, helping them make connections, is a joy!
My purpose is to make learning fun, by sharing ideas and strategies. I’ll also be sharing classroom management tips that make the day run more smoothly and enhance the time learning. Less stress for teachers and children means more joy in learning.
